Today Amazon announced that its Kindle for Android app has been updated to let readers access both single issues and subscriptions of some of the biggest selling newspapers and magazines. Update (or download) the app to your Android device today and you can immediately access over 100 different titles.

Now I just hope Amazon manages to find a way to roll this out to iOS devices before the end of the year. Single issues of many magazines for sale on the iPad are around $5, so access to Kindle subscriptions could provide huge savings for readers.
