From the first time someone accessed the hidden minesweeper game on the Kindle, people have been asking for a Kindle version of chess — and it looks like the day has finally arrived. Chess – $2.99, for U.S. customers only as with all Kindle games.
Features:
- 10 difficulty levels
- play against AI, or play another human via pass-and-play
- optional timer
- undo move capability
- save your game at any time
Because Amazon makes it hard to find their full list of Active Content titles, I’ve been listing all of them on one page under Games — check it out if you want to see everything that’s currently available.

“save you game at any time.”
How? If ,by that, you mean take a screen shot of the window; that’s not the optimal way to save the game as it takes on average ten screenshots to get all the moves recorded and then you have to download it onto a separate device to view them.
I could not find a “save game” feature in the operating instructions. (Unless the idea is that it saves the current position when you close the app. and it’s still there when you open it again later. ) Can you help?
thanks =)

I pulled that feature list directly from the product description page on Amazon, but the developer doesn’t offer any other details on how game saving works.
Here’s the developer’s own website — you can see here, too, there’s no details about game saving.

I’m guessing it only works as you suggested–that is, the game autosaves when you quit and resumes when you launch it later. But you might want to contact the developer to confirm that. Good luck!

Cheers for the chess game, Amazon.
Pity you won’t let anyone outside USA have it.
Is that because you don’t pay your taxes abroad.
