If you’re a Jane Austen fan or know someone with a Kindle who is, make sure you take advantage of this short-term Austen sale on the Kindle Store. But hurry, because it looks like most of these deals are for today only in honor of her birthday. (I’m sorry I’m just now posting about it–I only found out a few minutes ago!)
First off, we have six illustrated Kindle editions of Jane Austen classics from Sourcebooks. Since Jane Austen is in the public domain, this isn’t exactly a huge bargain. On the other hand, these editions come with pictures! And since they’re from the Kindle store, they’ll sync locations, notes and highlights correctly on your account.
If you’ve read “Pride and Prejudice” and crave more of those characters, here are nine unofficial sequels by contemporary authors that are also free today. They’re all published by Sourcebooks as well, so the free offers may end at midnight tonight too. Also, wow, people sure like that Darcy jerk.
“Mr Darcy’s Diary” by Amanda Grange

“Mr. & Mrs. Fitzwilliam Darcy: Two Shall Become One” by Sharon Lathan
