The Kindle is so light and carefree that when you’re using one, you can run and jump and hold hands and collapse into a laugh-ball with your other literate friends. The Kindle can absorb far more words than your grandmother’s paperback, and it weighs less too. The Kindle will make you feel like you’re in a Belle & Sebastian song.
I’m not sure whether Amazon wanted to target a younger demographic, or wanted to target an older demographic by subtly hinting to them that the Kindle is an easy way to feel younger and with it. Or maybe the company is trying to position the Kindle as a good graduation gift?
Oh well. I still like the stop-motion fantasy ads the best.
I know the actual song in the ad is by The New Pornographers. It still sounds like B&S to me.
