Thinking of buying a Kindle? Wait until August

So here’s the latest round of news/rumors on the Kindle: last week, Bloomberg announced that two anonymous people confirmed there will be a thinner, faster Kindle released in August. It won’t have a color screen or use touchscreen technology, but you might be able to slice bread with it. (Seriously, the Kindle is thin enough already.)

A few days later, Engadget looked at some leaked screenshots of an internal Amazon screen and suggested that the new Kindle might come in a Wi-Fi version.

All of this is speculation and so far nothing has been announced by Amazon, but if you’ve been planning on buying a Kindle reader you might want to hold on to your $250 for another couple of months and see what happens.
