We’re doing just fine, says Kobo to its Borders customers

If you own a Kobo, don’t worry about what’s going to happen to your ebooks, Kobo announced yesterday in a blog post. Kobo handles all ebook sales for Borders, not the other way around, so no matter what happens to Borders in the U.S. there will still be a Kobo for the foreseeable future.

Borders is actually an investor in Kobo, but not the only one. As for what would happen to Kobo if Borders went away entirely, Kobo writes, “[Borders’] ebook sales represents a minority of Kobo’s worldwide sales.”
