Where's that Kindle 2.5 update?

Where's that update? Hello? Update?

It’s June 1st, and if you’re at all like me, you’re still reading on a Kindle running the 2.3.3 software (switch to your “Settings” screen and look in the lower right corner). Back in April, Kindle announced the 2.5 update and said it would be wirelessly sending it out to customers in the latter half of May. So where is it?

The developers are “making some small adjustments,” according to Amazon:

We’ve rolled out the 2.5 software release to a set of Kindle customers and have received great feedback from these early customers. Based on this feedback, we are making some small adjustments to improve the experience further. We will be rolling out the 2.5 software update to more users over the coming weeks.

Sigh. Maybe in June, eh?
